The security lines actually moved quick, which was a relief. It still felt like a lot of effort just to get through with all the waiting, shuffling forward, and getting everything ready to scan, but at least the line didn’t drag on forever.

I’d give Texas Frightmare Weekend 4 stars, mostly because the communication was solid. They sent out updates about guest changes, schedules, and line info, which helped a lot. A few details came kind of late or were a little hard to track down at first, and that felt avoidable, but overall they did a good job keeping people in the loop. Not perfect, but definitely better than some other cons I’ve been to.

I mainly went because I wanted to meet two of the horror guests, i feel justified in making the trip because it ended up being way better than I expected. The lines definitely got long, but the staff kept things moving, so it never felt like a total mess. Both celebs were really nice too, not rushed or awkward like I was kind of worried they might be. One of the actors even noticed my old VHS shirt, chatted with me about it, and took a really fun photo. It actually felt like a real little moment instead of just being pushed through a line. I had a blast.

My first reaction was, "Oh, this is easy." The layout made sense immediately, and I didn’t feel like I had to hunt around to figure things out...

I mostly paid attention to the shirts and posters since that’s what I was looking for, and the prices were about what I expected. A few other things seemed a little pricey when I glanced at them, but overall it didn’t feel too bad.

I wasn’t totally sure what to expect, but the lines seemed to move fast and the whole process felt easy enough.

I had a good time overall. The panels were actually really enjoyable this year, and most of them started close enough to on time, which I appreciated. The guests were fun, and the screenings looked and sounded solid too. I usually don’t put much stock in the whole polished “we’ve improved the experience” kind of messaging, but in some areas it did feel like things were working better. That said, getting into the rooms was still more confusing than it needed to be. The lines got messy, and it wasn’t always clear where you were supposed to go.

We had a good time once we actually got into the attractions, but getting there felt like way more work than it should’ve been. The lines were so confusing, half the time we couldn’t tell where they started or ended, and the wait times kept changing without anyone really explaining what was going on. It felt like we spent more energy figuring out where to stand than enjoying the place. The staff were friendly, but they seemed totally overwhelmed. For the price of the tickets, they really need to get the crowd control and line management figured out.

I gave it a shot, but it really wasn’t worth it. Feels like one of those overhyped duds that looks better than it actually is. I wouldn’t bother buying it again

The snacks were good and the food was decent overall. The drink prices felt a bit high though and the lines for drinks got long.

I really liked the guest list this year. There were actually a bunch of names I was excited to meet, which doesnt always happen. For me, it was definitely worth making the trip

I did a couple of photo ops and, it was mostly organized well. The lines were clearly marked and the staff did keep everyone moving, which was nice because apparently that’s not always a given at these things. One of my ops ran a little late and the area got crowded for a bit, but at least they explained what was going on instead of just leaving everyone to guess. I got my photos back quickly afterward, so overall I was happy with the experience

The schedule ended up being wrong, and because of that I missed the main thing I came for. It was really frustrating, and it made me lose trust in how this was organized. I don’t think I’d rely on their timing again.

I did end up getting my autograph, so I’m glad about that. But the whole line situation felt more confusing than it needed to be. Different staff members were telling people different things, and the wait ended up being longer than what was posted. I’m happy with the signature, but it kind of seemed like they didn’t have the process fully figured out.

I did have a good time overall, but the accessibility issues were frustrating. The signs weren’t very clear, the crowded paths were tough to get through with my mobility aid, and when I asked staff about accessible areas, they didn’t always seem to know where to send me. It kind of made me feel ignored, like accessibility was an afterthought instead of something people had actually planned for

The lines got kinda confusing, but they helped me out really fast and made everything much easier to deal with.

Registration was really quick and smooth. I didn’t run into any issues at all.

Not gonna lie, I found parking really fast and didn’t have to deal with any hassle at all.

I went to Texas Frightmare Weekend mostly just to shop around, but wow, the vendor area absolutely wrecked my self-control. There was so much cool horror stuff everywhere: shirts, prints, masks, old movies, handmade pieces, all kinds of weird and awesome finds. And thankfully it wasn’t just the same exact merch repeated at every table, which is basically a miracle at a con. Prices were fair too. Some things were a little high, but that’s just how cons go, so I wasn’t shocked. I planned to casually wander and maybe buy one or two things, and somehow I came home with way more than planned like I had blacked out in the best way possible. Easy 5 stars.
